Alex Rivière is one of those people – fireproof, passionate and always open to new challenges.  She says she is a normal girl, a really normal girl. Far away from what people think she is – many times, she has been told that sje look pretentious or unfriendly because she don’t smile to camera… she is sure people who say it didn’t wear brackets when they were kids!Screenshot 2020 06 04 at 12.50.40 AM

Her legal name is Alejandra, and she says she don’t like it at all. And actually she has a  funny story of her name . Officially, she should have been named Alex which was definitly her parent’s choice, but the priest decided that the name wasn’t correct or catholic for a baby girl. Her parents went mad, especially her dad, so they agreed to write down Alejandra as the first name, but stated “Princess” and “Worm” as her second names to tease the priest. That’s what her dad saw in her: a princess, because she was their first girl and little sister to 2 bigger brothers, and a worm because she was lanky since she was a baby.Screenshot 2020 06 04 at 12.51.11 AM

she further adds she is  one of those who like to work under pressure. The more she have to do and the greater the challenge, the better. she realized this when she was in school – during the course she was super relaxed, but once in the final days she pushed to the limit. Never failed. she will always remember her  Economy teacher’s words: “You’re a Mercedes at 50km/h and this technique won’t work forever”. One can never  know how much she would love to meet him and tell him how far it has worked.

After she  finished mid-school she got enrolled in Fashion Design. Fashion has always been her passion and her dream, but a few months after the start she thought about carrying the suitcase and sewing machine every day for 4 years… and she didn’t like it. That’s why she switched to Fashion Marketing & Communication in the same university, majoring in communication. At the same time she enrolled in an online BA in Business Managementfollowing her mentor’s advice – my dad. Last September she enrolled in an online postgraduate degree in Community Management. The moment she did she wasn’t thinking clearly the workload is quite big but she will take it slowly.Screenshot 2020 06 04 at 12.51.43 AM

After graduating from college, she started an internship at TCN. Totón Comella (founder and designer) alongside with JM Donat (CEO) decided that she stayed longer than the 3 mandatory months. Soon it will be 2 years that she works with them as Community Manager. The great thing about TCN being a small business is that she do way further than what job title says. She spend two days a week with Totón in order to learn the whole process and development of collections. Working next to her and being able to see the result is amazing. Maybe this was her favorite part the job, but sometimes she can’t devote the time she would like because her official job won’t let her do that.

Besides of her work for TCN, a few months ago she decided to join a new project, Comernort. It doesn’t have anything to do with fashion but with the aesthetics, a world that she love. Comernort is the upholstery business of her boyfriend’s family, for whom she has designed their new website and she will be taking charge of their whole image.Screenshot 2020 06 04 at 12.52.13 AM

Instagram is the other half of her professional life that she love. Unfortunately she can’t give it the time it needs because her priority is always her real job. To me, Instagram is a hobby because she have fun, she can express myself and, of course, it means a more than welcome extra income. What she enjoy the most is not only collaborate with a brand, but also the relationship you start with said brands. Although, in the first place,she often contacted for a post, then the relationship turns more professional. she see these brands trust her work and her and they propose her more ambitious projects such as managing their social media or helping them with events.Screenshot 2020 06 04 at 12.53.01 AM

A few months ago she signed with The K, a young influencer management agency created by Vanesa Rousaud and Estefania del Val. She couldn’t be happier with them, they’re the best tandem she have seen so far in the sector.
