The famous Fashion Blogger Anna Estrin inspires her readers and gives valuable advice to all fashionistas. Anna told us about her love for fashion, journalism, and blogging.
How did it all start?
One day I decided to leave my comfort zone and try myself in a new field. Fashion is a lifelong love, that is why when I opened my first boutique in New York, I did it with great pleasure. Later, I started sharing my vision of personal style with the world through my blog and various fashion sites. I love being a fashion journalist because it is always working with something new: bloggers have something to tell and to share with the public every day. You are surrounded by beauty and deliver this beauty to the world, which makes it priceless and hard not to love.
Anna, Is being a fashion journalist well paid?
For me, blogging is not about money, it is more about what I want to convey to the world. I do not take projects that are interfering with my views, or not socially responsible.
What is your focus on?
I always try to diversify my content, be active, and communicate with my viewers. As for my subscribers, they are mainly girls and women who are interested in fashion. I have not used any tools to attract an audience, but have always focused on content. I think nothing works more efficiently than quality content that is interesting and beneficial to your audience. I communicate with my subscribers and share my view of fashion.
Do you think blogging and fashion journalism are going to be in your life for a long time?
Being happy is the most important for me no matter what I do. I have never thought about whether I would be writing all my life. I can only say I will do it as long as it interests me. Each person needs to do what brings pleasure to him or her. Otherwise, it makes no sense and will not benefit anyone.
Do you think many brands are open to working with bloggers?
I think that in 2021 bloggers are recognized as people who can influence the opinions of others. That is why many advertising and PR agencies perceive blogs as a platform for advertising. More than that big and small brands collaborate with bloggers and this became a branch of marketing strategy. The proof of that is the front rows of the best fashion houses at Fashion Weeks, it becomes clear that influencers are now a much broader concept, and it only grows.
