Kaira Tomaselli is an Actress, set designer, and painter born in Naples, Italy. Kiara Tomaselli graduated with honors in Scenography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples. She studies acting at the Naples theater academy directed by Marzio Honorato. She takes her first steps in theater in the musical The most reckless adventures of Don Quijote directed by Lina Wertmüller and in Sinceramente tua, Vincent by Antonio Capuano. She was also one of the production designers for both of these.
At the same time, she made her debut on television in the TV series The team 4, to which she follows Un posto al sole.And after finishing Acting University she moved to Rome, where she continued her acting studies at Beatrice Bracco’s Acting Training Laboratory. At the same time, she embarked on a career as a set designer working on several projects.
Her first lead role on the big screen was with Ugo Fabrizio Giordani, followed by a film with Vincenzo Marra as well as films with Raoul Bova whom I worked with twice, in the comedies of Federico Moccia. She was in many TV series, La Squadra, Ris, Don Matteo, Gente di Mare, Vita da Vigile, Stracult, Un posto al sole d’estate, and Boris Giuliano.
“Being an actress allows me to explore the many sides of my personality, which just like characters in a movie, at times coexist, but often fight. Many of these “characters” I could have never met anywhere else than on this wild roller coaster of the TV and Film industry.”
In 2005 she made her debut in the cinema among the protagonists of Ugo Fabrizio Giordani’s film, Too beautiful, in the role of Isabella. Then participated in the film directed by Vincenzo Marra, L’ora di punta, candidate for the 65th Venice International Film Festival. She plays the role of Claudia, Alex’s sister, alias Raoul Bova, in Federico Moccia’s film, Sorry but I call you to love.
In 2009 she is also among the protagonists of the fourth season of Un posto al sole d’estate in the role of Claudia Moreno. In 2011 she is the female protagonist of the sitcom Life as a vigilant directed by David Emmer and several times protagonist of the sketches of the historic TV show Stracult.In the same year, she participates in the radio show 610 written and conducted by Lillo & Greg.
The pre-evening television program of Canale 5.2013 marks the return of Kiara to the theater, alongside Max Tortora in the comedy Double Couple wrote by Max Tortora and Paola Tiziana Cruciani directed by Paola Tiziana Cruciani, staged at the Sala Umberto Theater in Rome from December to January 2014. The edition of Avanti another! in 2014 sees a change in the format of the tlp that become a quiz in the quiz, with the name of Mi Convinca in which Kiara plays the journalist Minny Fruffer.
In 2012 she was selected by the Experimental Center of Cinematography in Rome for admission to the workshop The power of the actor of the international coach Ivana Chubbuck, since then she has continued to follow Ivana Chubbuck in various seminars. In 2014 she participates in the E.T. Theatrical Experiments at the Cometa Off Theater in Rome with the monologue Trans written by Massimiliano Bruno of which he followed an artistic workshop in July of the same year.
