Cameron Thierry, popularly known as Infamous Thierry, was born in Scotlandville, and now based in Baton Rouge-Louisiana. The talented rapper started music at the age of 7 and has not looked back since then, pouring his heart and soul into every line.
After studying marketing at Southern University and A&M College, he turned his focus to music. Infamous Thierry’s versatility, creativity, and ingenuity can be largely attributed to his diverse source of inspiration. Influenced by fellow Louisiana rappers Webbie, Lil Boosie, Lil Wayne, and Kevin Gates, he issued early singles like “On My Way” and “My Lonely,” the latter of which appeared on his self-released debut effort, Fly Until My Last Breath, in 2016.
He continued releasing non-album singles into 2018, when he scored his first underground hit with “I Remember.” An introspective reflection on his struggle to rise above his past, the track marked a turn in Thierry’s lyrical focus, which now incorporated motivational messages. In his latest song “Buss Down,” Thierry tells the story of his life in a fun way as he talks about making a choice between spending his money on flashing things and getting back to hustle for more cash. Buss Down has over 300,000 streams on Spotify and earned him notice from the likes of The Source, DJ Smallz, and more. On his Instagram, the Buss Down Challenge brought submissions from across the nation. The song chronicles the artist’s growth from the release of “Projects” to the current stage in his career.
One of Thierry’s favorite aspects of his music career is the opportunity to inspire his fans. He remarks that
“The response I get from my fans and DJs is phenomenal. I love the way they are embracing my music, putting it into their everyday lives.”
