Early life and education

Doshi was brought into the world in Madras, India, to a Welsh mother and Gujarati father. She finished a four year certification in the US, at Sovereign’s School in Charlotte, North Carolina. She graduated with a graduate degree in exploratory writing from the Johns Hopkins College.

Career

Doshi fills in as an independent essayist and columnist. She has worked with choreographer Chandralekha. Her brief tale “Woman Cassandra, Spartacus and the moving man” was distributed completely in the diary The Drawbridge in 2007. Her verse assortment, Everything Starts Somewhere else, was distributed by Bloodaxe Books in the UK in 2012 and by Copper Gully Press in the US in 2013.

Award winning works

In 2001 Tishani won the Eric Gregory Grant for youthful writers under 30 years.
